Responsibilities of Credit Reporting Agencies
- To give notice to customer on the processing of credit information.
- To obtain consent from customer before the disclosure of the credit information to third party.
- To ensure credit information is accurate, up to date, complete, relevant and not misleading.
- To give customer the right of access to credit information.
- Not to disclose the information in relation to bancruptcy, pecuniary action in court and any default :
*in repayment of credit 2 years after the final settlement unless the current status of the action has been ascertained and is included in the credit report. - To protect credit information from any loss, misuse, modification, unauthorized or accidential access or disclosure.
